Asus X550CA Disassemble Pictures
|In this guide, I’ll disassemble Asus X550CA, I will remove and replace the battery, hard drive, RAM, wireless card, dvd drive, keyboard, palm rest and motherboard, refer to this guide, you can upgrade and repair your Asus X550CA.
Unlock and remove the battery.
Remove all screws from the bottom case.
Pry up and remove the service cover.
Asus X550CA only has one memory slot. It is integrated four memory chips on the motherboard.
Remove four screws securing the hard drive. You can remove the hard drive module.
Pry up the palm rest with a pry plastic tool. If you want to remove the keyboard and palm rest, you need to disconnect the keyboard cable and touchpad cable.
USB board is connected to the motherboard via a white cable.
Disconnect two wireless antenna cables.
Remove one screw securing the card.
Asus X550CA features an Atheros AR5B22 wireless card.
The memory chips soldered to the motherboard
Remove the screw securing the optical drive.
Pull out and remove the optical drive.
I have this same exact computer, and I’d like to upgrade the ram. When I take off the back cover, there is an empty ram slot and I can see the integrated memory chips underneath. Can you please tell me what memory is compatible for that slot?
