Remove the expansion module bezel from the tablet.

Under the expansion module bezel, you can find two screws that securing the back cover to the tablet.
Remove these two screws.

Remove four screws under the bracket, and one screw is covering by screw rubber foot.

Insert a guitar pick under the back cover. Slide the pick by the edges to release all the snaps that securing the back cover to the tablet.
When the back cover was removed, you can access the battery, SSD, speaker, heat sink and motherboard.

Disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard before you touch the internal components.
Disconnect two cables from the motherboard. These two cables are covering the battery, to remove the battery, you need to disconnect it first.

Remove all screws securing the battery and lift it up to remove it from the tablet.

7.5V, 37Wh, 4800mAh Li-ion battery. Lenovo P/N: 00HW046.

Remove the camera module from the small board.

Here’s rear camera module.

Here’s i/o board, there are a headphone microphone combo jack, volume buttons power button and two microphones.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet speaker module

Remove one screw securing the SSD and take it out of its slot.

Although Intel Core m processor’s power consumption is very low. However, due to ThinkPad XT Tablet equipped with Core m7 processor, the operating power consumption reached nearly 7w, in the case of high load, it is also need some auxiliary cooling.
