Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 Disassembly

In this guide, I’ll disassemble Lenovo IdeaPad Y570. I will remove the RAM, hard drive, keyboard, palm rest, wireless card, heat sink, cooling fan and motherboard.

Remove six screws securing the service cover.
Remove the service cover.

Now you can get access to the RAM, hard drive, wireless card, heat sink and cooling fan.

Remove two screws securing the hard drive module. You can remove it.
Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 using a 640GB Toshiba hard drive.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 features two Ramaxel 2GB RAMs.

Remove all the screws from the bottom.

Pull out the dvd drive, you can find three screws at the dvd bay, remove it.

Turn over the laptop, remove the keyboard.

Disconnect two cables from the motherboard.

Remove the keyboard bezel.

Disconnect the LCD cable.
Remove two screws securing the palm rest.

Pry up and remove the palm rest.
Remove the screws and disconnect all the cables.

Disconnect all the cables.

The motherboard has been removed.
