HP EliteBook 840 G2 Disassembly (SSD, RAM, HDD Upgrade Guide)

In this guide, I’ll remove the back cover of HP EliteBook 840 G2, refer to the guides, you can upgrade, repair and clean your laptop, or remove battery, SSD and RAM.

There are no screws securing the back cover. So remove the back cover is pretty easy.
Unlock two latches, pry up and remove the service cover.

Once the cover was removed, you can access the battery, RAM, wireless card, SSD, heat sink and cooling fan.
The EliteBook 840 G2 have two RAM slots, come with two 8GB RAM, total 16GB.
The RAM type is DDR3L 1600MHz.

Intel 7265ac wireless card, it is support 2.4G, 5G and 801.22ac.
EliteBook 840 G2 have a spare M.2 SSD slot, and it’s also come with a 512GB 2.5″ SDD.
