In this guide, I’ll disassemble XPS 14 (L421x), refer to this guide, you can upgrade, repair and clean your laptop, or remove and replace the hard drive, RAM, SSD, wireless card, battery, heat sink and cooling fan.
Remove all screws from the bottom case, pry up and remove the bottom case.
After the bottom case removed, you can access the battery, hard drive, wireless card, RAM, SSD and cooling fan.
This is my Seagate 500GB SSHD.
The Dell XPS 14 (L421x) comes with an 8GB RAM.
Remove old SSD and install new SSD.
Turn on the laptop and enter the bios setup, you can see the SSD is 128GB.
