Alienware 15 R2 Disassembly (SSD, HDD, RAM Upgrade Guide)
|In this guide, I’ll disassemble Alienware 15 R2. Refer to this guide, you can upgrade, repair your Alienware 15 R2, or remove the hard disk, wireless card and SSD and RAM.
Remove two screws securing the service cover.
Pry up and remove the service cover.
When the service cover was removed, you can get access to the hard drive, SSD, wireless card and RAM.
Alienware 15’s hard drive bracket is wrapped very tightly, which also covers the cushion foam pad, the design is more rigorous.
Alienware 15 R2 comes with a 1TB 7200 RPM HDD.
Alienware 15 R2 has two M.2 NVMe slots, installed one Samsung PM951 256GB NVMe SSD, so you can add another SSD.
Two 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Hynix RAM.
Killerâ„¢ Wireless-AC 1535 wireless card, it is support for dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and IEEE standards-based 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, support plus 2 external 5GHz signal amplifiers, Integrated Bluetooth 4.1.
