    How to remove and replace keyboard on Toshiba Satellite R630-144

    Step 1. Before you start process, make sure the laptop is turned off, disconnect the power adapter from your laptop, unlock and remove the battery.

    Step 2. Unscrew five screws securing the service cover and remove the cover.

    Step 3. Remove five screws securing the keyboard on the bottom.

    Step 4. Insert a small screwdriver into the hole, the hole is around the wireless card.

    Step 5. Gently push the screwdriver, when you push on the screwdriver, the keyboard will lift up.

    Step 6. Continue removing the keyboard with your fingers.

    Step 7. Place the keyboard of Toshiba Satellite R630-144 on your palm rest, then, you can access the keyboard connector.

    Step 8. Lift up the left side of the cable retainer with your fingernail, the retainer will open up at a 90 degree angle.

    Step 9. Pull the keyboard cable from the connector.

    Step 10. Now you can remove the Toshiba Satellite R630-144 keyboard.
