In 1993, Toshiba introduced the first tablet – DynaPad, after years of development, tablet has become increasingly popular. Today, years later, Toshiba has introduced a DynaPad 2-in-1 Windows tablet, but the shape looks somewhat similar with Microsoft Surface.
Toshiba’s new DynaPad equipped with a Wacom Active Electrostatics TruPen, pressure sensitive levels for 2048 (new Surface Pen pressure sensitivity level of 1024), and is compatible with Microsoft Office applications and browsers, its also equipped with a detachable keyboard dock.
The tablet has a 1920 x 1280 pixel IPS display with a dual-layer coat of anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint material. with a Intel 1.44GHz Atom processor, 4GB of memory. The dynaPad weighs only 569g, thickness of only 6.6mm, while the tablet and keyboard combined weigh in at about 996g, thickness of 14.9mm.
Currently, the new DynaPad has begun to accept reservations, and will be on sale in Japan in December, priced at not more than 130,000 yen.
