MSI GS40 Disassembly (SSD, RAM Upgrade Guide)

In this guide, I’ll disassemble MSI GS40. Refer to this guide, you can upgrade, repair and clean your MSI GS40, you also can remove the bottom case, hard drive, SSD, wireless card, RAM memory, motherboard, cooling fan and SSD.

After the bottom case was removed, you can access internal components, including battery, SSD, RAM, wireless card, speakers, heat sink/cooling fan and motherboard.

MSI GS40 comes with a 7.6v, 8060mah, 61.25wh Li-ion battery, MSI model: BTY-M47.

Samsung MZVPV128HDGM-0000 SM951 128GB M.2 NGFF SSD, if necessary, you can upgrade to 512GB M.2 NGFF SSD.

1TB 7200RPM hard drive

MSI GS40 CPU cooling fan

MSI GS40’s heat sink features five copper pipes.

MSI GS40 GPU cooling fan.

MSI GS40 has two RAM slots.
It is coming with two Samsung 8GB DDR4-2133MHz RAMs.
