In this guide, I’ll disassemble Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, I will remove and replace the battery, SSD, keyboard, heat sink, i/o board, wireless card, cooling fan, motherboard. Refer to this guide, you can upgrade and repair your Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro.
Remove eleven screws from the bottom case.
Pry up the bottom case with a pry bar.
Lift up and remove the bottom case.
Under the bottom case, you can get access to the battery, SSD, wireless card, speaker and cooling fan.
Remove five screws securing the battery.
Disconnect the battery power cable.
Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro use a 7.4v, 7400mah Li-polymer battery, Lenovo part number: L12M4P21.
Remove the screw securing the SSD
Remove the SSD.
This Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro installed a 128GB Toshiba SSD, Lenovo part number: 45N8428, 45N8429.
Disconnect two antenna cables.
Remove the screw securing the wireless card.
Remove the wireless card.
Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro wireless card
Disconnect the cable.
Disconnect the keyboard cable and backlit cable.
Disconnect the LCD cable.
Remove the screws securing the little board.
Remove the little board.
There are USB3.0, Micro HDMI and SD card reader on this board.
Remove another little board.
Disconnect the cooling fan cable from the motherboard.
Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro motherboard has been removed.
Remove four screws securing the heat sink. You can remove the heat sink and cooling fan.
The memory is integrated on the motherboard.
