In this guide, you will learn how to disassemble Lenovo ThinkPad X240, I will remove the bottom case and upgrade SSD and RAM memory.
Unlock and remove the battery.
Remove all screws from the bottom case, pry up and remove the bottom case.
Now you can get access to the internal components, including the hard drive, RAM, wireless card, heat sink and cooling fan.
Lenovo ThinkPad X240 only has one RAM slot and come with a Samsung 4GB PC3L-12800s RAM, you can upgrade to 8GB.
ThinkPad X240 also has a NGFF port for add SSD.

Remove the hard drive and remove the HDD caddy from the hard drive module.
Remove the HDD caddy from the hard drive.
Now install the SSD to the HDD caddy.
