Lenovo Thinkpad T440S Disassembly

In this guide I’ll disassemble the Lenovo Thinkpad T440S, I will remove the keyboard, hard drive, wireless card, speakers, heat sink, cooling fan and motherboard.

Remove all screws from the bottom case.

Remove the bottom case. You can get access to the battery, wireless card, hard drive, heat sink and cooling fan.

Remove four screws securing the battery.
Disconnect the power cable. You can remove the battery.

Remove the hard drive module.

Remove three screws. You can remove the SATA board.

Loosen four screws securing the heat sink.
Disconnect the cooling fan cable from the motherboard, the heat sink can be removed.

Remove two screws and disconnect the speaker cable. You can remove the speakers.

Disconnect two antenna cables.
Remove one screw. You can remove the wireless card.

Turn over your laptop, lift the keyboard.
Disconnect the keyboard cable from the motherboard.

Remove the motherboard.
