Turn off the laptop
Remove the back cover.
When the back cover removed, you can get access to the battery, wireless card, ram, hard drive, heat sink and cooling fan.
The Lenovo ThinkPad S3-S431 comes with a 24GB SSD.
Remove the hard drive.
Remove the HDD caddy from the hard drive module.
This is my new SSD, Samsung 840 500GB SSD, install the HDD caddy on the SSD.
