Unlock and remove the battery.
Lenovo ThinkPad E550c come with a 6-cells 10.8v, 4400MAH Li-ion battery, Lenovo part number: 45N1762, 45N1763, the battery made of use LG or Samsung 18650 cells.
Remove all screws securing the service cover, remove the service cover.
Once the service cover was removed, you can access the hard drive, wireless card and RAM.
Under the cover, you can’t access the heat sink and cooling fan. If you want to clean the cooling fan, may be not very easily.
The ThinkPad E550c have two RAM slots. Its comes with one 4GB DDR3L 1600MHz RAM, so you can add another 4GB RAM.
The ThinkPad E550c features a T77H535.00 wireless card. Lenovo part number is 04X6025.
Lenovo ThinkPad E550c comes with dvd bracket, not real optical drive. You can install an optical drive, or buy a HDD caddy to install a 2.5″ hard drive or 2.5″ SSD.
