In this guide, I’ll disassemble a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p in order to add SSD, I also remove the RAM, dvd drive, hard drive, wireless card, heat sink and cooling fan.
Turn off your laptop, unlock and remove the battery.
Unlock this latch.
Now the latch already unlocked.
Unlock this latch and pull out the dvd drive.
Pull the dvd drive to the left.

Remove nine screws from the bottom case.
Now we will pry up the bottom case.
You can use a guitar pick or card to pry up the bottom case.
The bottom case has been removed.
Under the bottom case, you can get access to the hard drive, wireless card, RAM, heat sink and cooling fan.
Remove these parts are very simple.
This is spare SSD slot.
Insert your new SSD and tighten the screw.
