In this guide, I’ll disassemble HP Spectre X360, I will remove the bottom case, SSD, battery, wireless card, cooling fan and motherboard. Refer to this guide, you can upgrade and repair your Spectre Pro X360.
Remove all screws securing the bottom case.
Pry up and remove the bottom case, there is no snaps fixed the case, so remove the case is very easy.
When the bottom case was removed, you can get access to the SSD, wireless card, battery, speaker, cooling fan and motherboard.
The SSD and wireless card was covered by a black tape.
HP Spectre Pro X360 comes with an 11.4v, 4810mah Li-polymer battery. HP part number: HSTNN-DB6S.
Remove the screws securing the battery, disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard, you can remove the battery.
Remove the screw securing the M.2 NGFF SSD.
The HP Spectre Pro X360 features an Intel SSDSCKGF180A4H 180GB SSD. HP part number: 729661-001.
Disconnect two wireless antenna cables.
Remove one screw securing the wireless card.
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265NGW wireless card, HP part number: 756749-001.
It’s support for 802.11ac, 2 x 2 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
The RAM chips were soldered on the motherboard, the laptop does not provide spare RAM slot, so the RAM can’t upgrade.
Remove six screws securing the heat sink and cooling fan. Disconnect the cooling fan cable from the motherboard.
