In this guide, I’ll disassemble HP Folio 13, I will remove and replace the battery, SSD, speakers, heat sink, keyboard, palm rest, cooling fan and motherboard. Refer to this guide, you can upgrade and repair your HP Folio 13.
Remove all the screws from the bottom case, pry up and remove the bottom case.
Remove two screws securing the SSD, take it out of its slot.
HP Folio 13 comes with a samsung SSD.
HP Folio 13 comes with a SK Hynix 4GB PC3-12800S RAM.
Remove six screws securing the heat sink and cooling fan, you can remove the heat sink and cooling fan module.
HP Folio 13’s cooling fan comes from SUNON.

Remove one screw securing the wireless card.
Disconnect two antenna cables, remove the wireless card.
Here are the CMOS battery and card reader module.
Remove all screws securing the battery, disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard, you can remove the battery.
HP Folio 13 features a 11.1v, 59wh Li-ion battery, HP part number: 671277-171.
