In this guide, I’ll disassemble Lenovo Thinkpad X230, I will add a new SSD. Refer to this guide, you can upgrade, repair and clean your Thinkpad X230.
This is my new SSD, Lite-on 128GB SSD.
Remove all screws from the bottom case.
Flip over your laptop, sliding the keyboard to the screen, lift up the keyboard.
Disconnect the keyboard cable and remove the keyboard.
Lift up the palm rest.
Disconnect the touchpad cable from the motherboard.
Remove the palm rest.
Now you can access the mSATA slot.
In order to install the SSD, we need to disconnect two wireless card antenna cables.
Insert the SSD to mSATA slot and tighten the screw.
