In this guide, I’ll disassemble Asus ZenBook UX305 to remove and replace the battery, speaker, SSD, heat sink and motherboard.
You can use the following instructions for Asus ZenBook UX305FA, UX305LA, UX305CA and UX305UA series laptops.
The bottom cover is made of one whole brushed aluminum plate, which doesn’t have a service cover for easy upgrade. If you want to access the internal components, you should remove the whole back cover.
Remove all screws securing the bottom case.
Because there is no snaps, remove the case is very simple, just remove the screws will be able to remove the bottom case.
Once the bottom case was removed, you can access the battery, speaker, SSD, heat sink and motherboard.
Remove all the screws securing the battery and disconnect the battery connector from the motherboard.
Asus ZenBook UX305 comes with an 11.4v, 3830mah Li-polymer battery.

In order to reduce the thickness, the SSD, WIFI module and CMOS battery are connecting to I/O board from the side.
The USB port is also using semi-embedded way, to reduce the thickness.
