Acer Predator 17 G9-791G Disassembly (SSD, RAM, HDD Upgrade Guide)

In this guide, I’ll disassemble an Acer Predator 17 G9-591G. Refer to this guide, you can upgrade M.2 NGFF SSD, RAM, hard drive for your G9-791G.

It’s very easy to access the most commonly serviced components, just by removing the service cover held in place by two screws (please don’t remove them, just unscrew, as they’re gripped to the service cover)

Unscrew two screws securing the service cover. Under the cover, you will be able to access two RAM slots, one 2.5″ HDD/SSD slot and two M.2 SSD slots.

The M.2 NGFF SSD is standard 2280 M.2 SSD. It is come with two Samsung SM951 128GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. You can replace it by 512GB M.2 NGFF SSD.

Acer Predator 17 G9-791G have two spare RAM slots (total four RAM slots), RAM type is DDR4 2133MHz, so you can add two 8G DDR4 2133MHz RAM.

It is also come with a 2.5-inch HGST 1TB 5400 RPM hard drive.
