Is the cpu soldered on the motherboard?
yes!
I’m really not a notebook technical strong person rather a user. Staying in a country outside your USA where hardware support and knowledge is not “up to standard”. I would like to upgrade the SSD to 512GB. Will be buying it through Ebay. Not sure about the slots etc. My Q: will this work in my laptop?

Appreciate anyone’s help?
No, you need SATA I – III, something like this – http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intenso-512GB-SSD-SATA3-Top-/371112034711?hash=item5668004197 ..
Anytning that looks like this should fit 😉
Thanks for the guide. Wanted to add an msata SSD, rather than replace the existing HDD. What exactly do i have to unscrew/remove before lifting up motherboard to access the NGFF SSD slot? Thanks
I bought version with 256GB SSD and I would like to add another hard drive. I have disassembled the notebook and the cable for 1st HDD is missing.
Can you please suggest where I can buy the cable with SATA connector? I have already some old SATA HDD.
Thank you.
Are you able to source replacement motherboards for this laptop, or source schematic drawings of this motherboard with the components listed for taking to a board repair shop? I have searched many sites without luck.
I got one of these. The 2015 Acer nitro v15 with 8GB of RAM. I want to upgrade to 32GB but apart from the no of pins and making sure its DDR4, are there any other things I should consider. I realised the DDR4 DIMMs have varying speeds. I was hoping to get the fastest. But I want to make sure that wouldn’t be a problem for the PC
